So, it looks like at least one, if not two, dogs are really not so lazy as you would have us think!
I’d send you my phone book but it won’t be your area so I doubt it would help you much.
They’re only lazy when I’m HERE. When I’m gone…all hell breaks loose!

Yes, ‘ruff’ day for the Border Collie. He gets bored and searches and destroys. The other dog is definitely lazy. He probably just lies on the couch and watches his brother rip and tear.
Did you have to take the phone book to them or did they send the cat to fetch it?
I have a telephone book you can borrow if you don’t mind long distance.
Honestly, I don’t know HOW they (he) got it. I thought it was up on the desk. Hmmm? Maybe the cat WAS involved.

I don’t use my phone book very often, either, so it was no big deal that it got destroyed.
OMG, now “that” is a familiar sight and one I’ve seen far to many times to count, lol. In my case, though, it’s one dog and two cats that like to tear my house apart. Awww, still cute, though, somehow makes me love the little rascals that much more.
By the way, you, my dear, have an award waiting for you over at The Cluttered Bubble. Anytime you would like to come by and pick it up, feel free to do so. Oh, and no rush…..go ahead and clean up that phone book mess first, I don’t mind, lol.
Oh, the cat has been known to do some damage, as well. But he usually saves his mischief for night when he can get up on the countertops and on top of the fridge.
I hate having to crate the dogs all day so I let them have free reign of the house. For the most part their well-behaved but once in awhile the Border Collie gets bored and has to destroy something.

What is it with dogs and books?
I don’t have any myself (dogs, that is, I have plenty of reading material) but you should ask Talea what *really* happened to that library book 
For some reason my mutts really love paper…or anything made with cardboard. I’m fine with the piddly stuff that they ruin but when they start chomping on the books and my unread magazines….grrrrrrowl!
