E and the dogs were playing with her friends in the backyard and one of the kids inadvertently left the gate open. Uh oh. We know what happened next. The dogs escaped and started running around the neighborhood. Fortunately, the kids were quick and snagged the pooches before they got too far. After the incident, E emailed my sister (her aunt) and my sis shared the email with me:
“When I saw the gate was open, I started to shake. I knew Gus would run and run and wouldn’t come back. I knew Ridley would come back to the sound of mom’s voice, because to Ridley, hearing my mom’s voice was like the voice of a sweet angel calling to him!”
are both dogs home????
Yes they are. Safe and sound!
buh! that is so sweet!
It is, isn’t it? It makes me smile a little.
awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww… 😛
It’s nice to know that my boy loves me. He really loves me!
Aww.. the voice of a sweet angel calling him.. that’s so cute!
I thought so, too! I love that she emailed her aunt to tell her that.
I luv that pic.
Thanks! He’s so darn cute. I love him to pieces.
You have the voice of an angel in your daughters eyes… omg, what a precious description she gave of you calling to your pup!
Except when I’m singing…hahaha…she cringes! Wasn’t that sweet? I was surprised by her description!
I’m glad..I hate hearing of missing pets 😦
Our first schip was an escape artist..not only did she take out on her own but I kid you not she went down and let the neighbor ladies dog out too so they could go as a team. It was hilarious! We saw it happen. I only say it’s hilarious now because they both came home safe. She’s over rainbow bridge now but watching that was one of the funniest things I had ever seen.
Thanks, JJ. I always panic when they get loose…which isn’t very often. Ridley tags along with me off his leash whenever I have to pop outside. He follows me like a shadow and apparently, my voice is like a sweet angel to him…bwahahah…so I don’t worry about him as much as I do about Gus. Gus senses freedom and he flies down the street. It’s like watching a horse come out of the gate.
Sweet Angel, I give you this!!!!
XXXOOXXXOOOO

Oooooo…sweet friend, I’ll be over in a sec. Thanks!!
So glad that story had a happy ending. Your daughter sounds so sweet & the puppy looks it:)
Thank you. I’m glad it did, too. I always get that pit in my stomach when I hear that they’ve gotten loose. Luckily, the kids in the neighborhood are pretty stealthy and can grab the pooches with ease. I’d be devastated if anything ever happened to my boys!
That is adorable! That ought to be scrapbooked. And the photo of the dog is equally cute! 🙂 Hope your back is getting better.
Thanks, Teeni. It’s definitely a memory book worthy. I love that pic of Ridley. I took it last year – I was lying on the floor right across from him and he didn’t even move an inch!
My back is feeling much better, thank you. I still get a pang here and there but have been taking care not to overdo it.
So sweet! Then they grow up…
So true! She’s 10…going on 15 already!
Beautiful dog. Aren’t they so much fun!
I have a Peke and a Papillon. Throw my Siamese in the mix and the fun really begins.
