I must apologize for not visiting all my favorite bloggers like I used to – faithfully. I really do hope to get back into the blogosphere soon but that may not be until fall, I’m afraid. You see, I am swamped. Swamped with dog biscuit making, scone making, crafting, painting, yard sale-ing and, of course, work. The first Farmer’s Market of the season is in three days. Count ’em…3! And I’m busting my butt bagging up some yummy Bow WOW Biscuits and assorted scones for opening day…all the while attempting to figure out how to set up my market tent so I don’t have to arrive at 6 am that morning and struggle with it.
The dog biscuits are a big hit with the boys. I already knew that – as I’ve made them in the past and the boys would gobble them up. But…I used to make them at my restaurant where I was uninterrupted. Now, I must make them in my kitchen with two dogs constantly under foot waiting for hand outs.

The dog biscuit making process tuckers Gus out and he eventually ends up sleeping at my feet.
The crafting is in full swing now. Every corner of my house is full of crafty goodness…pillows, bookmarks, hairbands, clothing, purses, collages, you name it.

Kitchen counter now full of crafts...

It's all about the 'love'

The paints have found a new home
I’ve started painting furniture, to boot. Where the hell I’ll be storing all of it is beyond me.

Cutesy little rocker that will soon be all dolled up for the craft fair
Now that I’m in full furniture-scoping mode I’ve been scouring the yard sales and flea markets.
I found this little gem for myself…
It will look perfect in my newly painted dining room. Yep, I’ve painted the dining room for the third time this year. Oy. I just can’t seem to decide on a color. I think this last color – buttery yellow – is a keeper. I love yellow with red accents so I painted myself a little sign for the new dining room…

Don't ask. My favorite number is 5 and I needed something to write on the sign...it was either this or "For Sale"!
And, of course, along with the new paint color had to come new drapes and shades. Like I need to spend my time fiddling around with this stuff? Oh, but I do. So, I made new curtains and bought new bamboo shades.
We DID have time to enjoy the first strawberry shortcake of the season – complete with homemade whipped cream. YUM!
Here are a few more pics…just some crafty shots
And dog teeth! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
wow that is some heavy duty crafting!! You go girl! But not too far and not for too long!!! K?
Seriously, heavy crafting. I’ll try not to be gone too long but can’t make any guarantees!!
I must confess my guilt for not having thanked you for the lovely art print you sent round with the Traveling Buddies!!
It now sits by my telephone in the entranceway and i love it!!
Thank you!!
Good luck with your crafties!! They are wonderful!
And I must confess mine for not having thanked YOU for the lovely bracelet. I went with the red one…it’s awesome, thank you, thank you!
Wow, you are on a roll. I love the photos especially the strawberry shortcake. 😉 I’ll bet the dog cookies are good (not for me but for dogs). The packaging is great. Good luck at the fair.
Mmmm…the strawberry shortcake was delicious. We ate it for b’fast, lunch and dinner!
The dog cookies are quite tasty. Honestly, I cannot stop eating the peanut butter ones – they make tasty little snack crackers!!
This is all just so craftalicious! I wish I lived near you and I could help you set up your tent! I really do! Would you ever share your puppy biscuit recipe with me? That’d be cool if ya did, if not I understand.
Your crafts are so beautiful. I would love to do stuff like that, so again, I say- it’s just a shame we aren’t neighbors cuz I know we’d have fun crafting up a storm and our daughters could work along side us. 😦
Good for you Shari! GOOD FOR YOU!!! Love the last picture the bestest!
The tent was a disaster! We ended up NOT setting it up. It was too windy and too complicated but at the end of the market some guy was selling easy-up tents for $25…so I snagged one for next time. Not sure we’ll need it as our booth is situated right underneath a huge tree with lots of shade.
Oh, we would have so much fun crafting together.
Ha. I had to throw the dog teeth in, it was just too cute.
Holy crap. I thought I was busy. You are insanely busy over here. Can you please send some of that energy this way? I love your sign for your dining room and it is entirely appropriate that it should be your favorite number. Also, makes a great conversation starter. Everyone will ask you what the significance of the number is. LOL. But I love butter yellow too (it’s the color of my living room). I still need to renovate and organize my craft room. Let me know if you can think of any good color combinations to inspire creativity!
I will certainly send some energy your way, Teeni! Not sure how much I have left to spare, though. I’m spent. I came home right after the market and took a nap. Ahhhh. Thankfully, I’m only doing the farmer’s market every other weekend. I’d be a zombie if I did any more.
I’m very happy with the butter yellow…and red accent pieces. Just wish I had time to get the entire dining room put back together. My sewing machine seems to have a permanent home on the dining room table. I just redid my craft room. The walls are a ‘Russet Pear’ color and I added teal curtains to my craft shelves. BUT…I just saw this awesome craft room that had sky blue/teal walls with red accents and I LOVE, Love, LOVE it, so I’m thinking of redoing mine. Eek. My, you are one busy, busy woman (kinda like me, I daresay?!) And a dog lover to boot. You’re a-ok in my book, so now I’ll have to lurk around your blog. 🙂
Hi Oz Girl, and welcome!! I am very busy. I can’t seem to stop. I sit down for a second and then think of all the things I could be doing and am off again with a leap and a bound! Please feel free to lurk, or become a regular visitor. I’m off to check out your blog.
I don’t understand how you get so much done!! Maybe you live in some sort of twilight zone where the days are longer? Everything looks fantastic and I wish you the best at all the fairs and markets.
Yes, I do live in a twilight zone…it’s called the 5:30 a.m. to midnight zone (with lots of help from my friend, caffeine). I can’t seem to sleep anymore. I have all these ideas/things I need to get done buzzing around in my head so I’ve been waking up early, hitting the sewing machine by 6 a.m., then off to work by 9 a.m., home for a quick dinner and then back to crafting until midnight. Yikes. Not sure how long I can do it but I’ll keep it up until I collapse!
Thanks! I did very well at the first Farmer’s Market. My scones sold out in the first 2 hrs. and I got several special orders for decorative pillows so I’m off to craft again!
Busy is good! Look at all that crafty goodness!
Busy IS good. I just hope I can hold out throughout the summer. Eek.
WOW. I can’t find another word to describe what I’m seeing. Woman: where do you find the time, energy and inspiration to be everywhere and do everything at the same time? I’m tired just looking at your life (jealous too because mine isn’t nearly as pretty). You, my dear, are a rock star!
Why, thank you, Pammy. I have to say, I’ve never, ever been called a rock star. I like it!! I somehow manage to eek out every stinking second of the day. I can’t sit still for very long so that helps. As soon as I try to relax I have this agenda that pops up in my head that tells me I should be doing this, this and this.
Thanks for the link! I too am loving the teal with red accents. And I could kill for that studio for a craft room – did you see how organized everything was? WOW!
You are very welcome! I could NEVER, EVER be THAT organized. Eek. And if I ever was that organized it would certainly become disorganized very quickly.
That Pepsi box is an awesome find. And now with Pepsi coming out with flashback, you can admire it to the taste of old school Pepsi.
Thanks, I thought so too. I can still remember how GOOD Pepsi used to taste in the glass bottles from our local deli. Oh crap, now I’m dating myself. Gah!
Hi 2,
My son just got married, and it may well take me until fall to get back to normal, so I empathize.
the Grit
Hey Grit,
Congrats! Hope the wedding was fabulous. Did you end up cutting your hair???
Meant to come and say hello for a while :). Love the strawberry shortcake! Not sure on the cream tho. Am watching my figure here ;). As usual, totally impressed with your craft skills. Especially the dog biscuits. Very good packaging. Am missing your feisty friday posts, btw. Always such a great laugh!
No worries…I’ve been terribly busy and haven’t been able to visit you. The strawberry shortcake was delicious. No more cream for me…back to the damnable South Beach Diet for a while. Bah!
I wish I could promise a Feisty Friday, but I can’t. I may sneak one in here and there between all the craziness that is my life these days!
