myfuckingbrokenheart (seg 2008)
Now that I’m officially unemployed I thought I’d better find something better to do with my time other than making voodoo dolls. Sooooooo, I’ve been honing my MS Paint skillz. I think I may have found a new hobby and I’m pretty sure it’s going to take up all of my time so I may NEVER be able to go back to work.
It’s better than 90% of the stuff I see in galleries. Put it on stretched canvas, slap it on eBay, and I bet it sells.
Voila! New career!
I’m so gawdamn jealous I can’t breath.
Kisses,
Maxine
Why thank you, Maxine. You are just far too kind to me! MWAH!!
Maxine may be on to something here. I am strangely drawn to it, and find it hard to look away. Those are some mad Paint skillz.
What will you come up with next???
Ohhhh…thanks! You are “strangely drawn to it, and find it hard to look away”…wow…so, it’s sorta hypnotizing? I never imagined my artwork would have that effect. Who knows what will be next…maybe I should work on some subliminal message art. Hahaha! 😀
I really like it too! I tried using that ms paint and as a result I can understand how good yours is…I definitely think you could segway into the art world!
Thanks! I actually used to paint with oils and I’d like to find some studio space so I could transfer what I’ve done with MS Paint onto canvas. But, I definitely like the ease (and less mess) that comes with creating art digitally.
hmmm…I think my heart is in just as many pieces….slowly mending… 🙂
Funny, I didn’t really have a plan or title for this piece, it just started to flow and then the hearts appeared, thus the title. Mine is definitely on the mend – mainly because of all the support & friendships I’ve garnered from all of you great blog-folk! 😀
Now, get over here and make me that fabulous dinner! Hahahaha
That’s awesome and very abstract… I think you may have inspired me to attempt something like this, instead of the juvenile pictures I’ve been drawing.
Wow, thanks, that means alot coming from a REAL artist! I’m not a real artist, I just play one on tv. Heh.
I have to do abstract because I’m not very good at any other style, plus I’m stuck using Paint which is not very impressive. Do you use Illustrator? I LOVE your style…I dig it’s simplicity and dream-like quality.
Oh that is loverly. I’d rock it in my house.
Why thank you. It doesn’t go well with my decor but my daughter saw it and immediately said “Oh, I want to paint my bedroom green now and hang it in there”. So now I’m going to have to change the color scheme of my entire house to suit the paintings??? Ha!

ooh, lookie at all the pretty colors!!!! I’ll take one, framed please.
You got it!
I used to use paint back in the day, but then I switched to mac and have been using illustrator ever since. The world is wonderful now.
Yes…yes it is – for you. I’m stuck with using paint since I really can’t rationalize spending the $$ for illustrator. Crap!
Illustrator is actually WAY complicated to use, compared to Paint. Keep using it. It’s better in many aspects.
Thanks! I appreciate the info. I really dig the way the brush strokes look in your illustrations…can’t accomplish that with Paint…at least as far as I can tell.
